His wife, Suneeti, is a B.A. (Economics-gold medalist) from M.S. University. Vadodara and has an M.A. in Economics from Northestem University USA. She has translated 14 books from English into Marathi during the past three years. She has two sons. The elder son, Ravindra, is a Chemical Engineer (B.S. Stanford U. and MS/Ph.D from MIT, USA) and is now a Chaired Profesor of Chemical ad Biological Engineering in RPI, troy, USA. His second son. Devendra, is BBA (accounting and finance) & J.D. (Law Degree from U of IIIinois) and now has set up his law practice based in Wheaton III USA
